Reset a user’s password
Role: Company Administrator.
You can reset a user’s password if required (for example, if a user has forgotten it).
Reset the password for one or more users
Follow these steps to send one or more users a system-generated email containing a new temporary password. The users log in using the password and are then prompted to change it.
- Open the Manage Users page (click > Administration sidebar > User Manager).
- Locate the users whose passwords you want to reset and select the check boxes beside their names.
- Click Reset the Password and Send an Email.
Each user is sent an email containing a unique temporary password.
Manually reset the password for one user
Follow these steps to reset the password for one user by manually entering a new password in their user profile. Once you’ve done this you need to contact the user to tell them their new password.
- Open the Manage Users page (click > Administration sidebar > User Manager).
- Locate the user whose password you want to reset.
- Click Edit beside their name.
The Manage User page opens, displaying the user profile details. - Scroll down to the Access – Primary Details1 section.
- Select the Check to enter new password below check box.
- Type the new password and repeat it.
- Click Save.
- Contact the user to give them their new password and advise them to change it after they log in.
