Configure email settings

Role: Company Administrator.

You use the Email Settings function to configure sender information and enable read receipts for outbound emails.

Steps

  1. Open the Company Settings page (click administration sidebar icon > Administration sidebar > Company Settings).
  2. In the Settings pane on the left expand Messaging and click Email.
  3. In the Reply Address Display field select Personalised or Hash, as required.
    • Personalised: This is the recommended or default setting. It’s more compatible with spam filters. Sender information is displayed in accordance with their user profile settings (for example, jsmith@company.com).
    • Hash: This option is less compatible with spam filters. Sender information is displayed in the automated email gateway format (for example, #45456#@whispir.com).
  4. Select the Enable Read Receipts check box if you want to activate read receipts for outbound emails. When a message recipient opens an email a read receipt is sent to Whispir and can be viewed and analysed on the message’s status page.
  5. Click Save.
